The "Laween" initiative focuses on community and experimental theater, visual arts, and organizing activities and events for children. It builds on people’s stories and interviews, involving them in writing, acting, and post-performance discussions, creating an artistic experience that actively engages with the community. The initiative has presented numerous performances, including “60 Minutes”, based on testimonies of Palestinian political prisoners, which held a special place for participants who had experienced detention. By welcoming feedback and audience participation, Laween fosters artistic and social dialogue, offering a true model of community theater that originates from and is for the people.
